In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pepperell Community Church Memorial Fund, P.O. ![]() ![]() A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant St., Pepperell on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Phyllis Smith Gardner, and two sons in-law, Edward J. Colburn and her husband Rob of Pepperell nine grandchildren nine great grandchildren two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lynde of Santa Teresa, New Mexico, Jean D. Lynde and his wife Linda of Pepperell four daughters, Joan C. Besides her husband of 67 years, she is survived by a son, Jon "Jack" W. She was also a member of the Pepperell Women's Club. JOHN GIBSON 1828 1909 OBITUARY: John Gibson was born in Ayrshire, Scotland in 1828 and died at the home. She was a member of the church Worker's Guild and past member of the Senior Choir and served on several committees. After Williams death in 1889, his property was sold. Lynde also worked as the secretary for the Community Church of Pepperell where she was an active member. for several years and later on worked in the Town Accountant's Office for the Town of Pepperell. Blood, Timothy Blood and Nancy Gardner, all of Pepperell, and seven grandchildren. In her earlier years, she was employed at Bemis Bag Co. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Charlotte, three sons and a daughter, Robert Blood, of West Groton, John C. Lynde was educated in the Pepperell School System and was a graduate of Pepperell High School Class of 1939 and the Nashua Business School in Nashua, NH, where she received her degree in business administration. Born in Nashua, NH, on January 9, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Roger V. Lynde who survives her and resides in Pepperell. (Shattuck) Lynde, age 88, lifelong resident of Pepperell and descendent of the early settlers, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer after a brief illness.
